The scene:
1:17a.m., Saturday morning, driving home from mom and dads, after watching movies with mom.
The errors:
1. Not immediately fixing the headlight I noticed was out yesterday (they go out way too frequently - not sure why)
2. Not having my driver’s license with me
3. Slurring my speech (I was very sleepy) while explaining to the police officer that, no – I don’t know my DL #
The only thing I did right:
Looking the police officer right in the face when he asked if I’d been drinking, and answering, “No. I never drink,” while his flashlight - shining right in my eyes - confirmed to him I was telling the truth. (Thank goodness, because my balance is terrible!!)
Item added to the Saturday “To Do” List:
Replacing that stupid headlight
Pretty funny, right? Well - I thought it was. If he'd made me get out and walk a straight line, I might have been the first totally sober person booked for DUI. (Actually, my parents might not have seen comedy in that.)

I laughed really hard reading this. I can totally see it!!!
I haven't laughed like that for awhile. I can see you trying to talk your way out of this. I talked to your Dad yesterday and we had quite a laugh too. I love your blog.
