Have you heard the song, “April Come She Will” by Simon and Garfunkel? It is one of my favorites.
Here are the last few lines:
July she will fly
And give no warning to her flight
August die she must
The autumn winds blow chilly and cold
September I remember
A love once new has now grown old
September seems an odd month to remember – but then, I remember lots of silly things. For example: about two years after we stopped dating, I ran into a college boyfriend. It happened to be his birthday that day, so as I passed, I wished him a “Happy Birthday.” He got an odd expression on his face and said, “You remember my birthday?”
Yes, dummy.
(And, I still do.)
Years of September, April and November –
Time and I have moved on, but I still remember.

I have always loved that song. Good old S&G. So true too...time moves on, but memories stay.
Interesting. This blog makes me think. I like that.
