Big Jake

Really nice day today.

I went for the longest walk so far and ran into a cricket match along the way.

I had my passion fruit yogurt for breakfast. Delicious as always. I can never get enough.

Terri made me a coconut chocolate shake for lunch (for Inj: coconut milk, chocolate protein powder, yogurt, ice cubes, nutmeg and coconut on top).

The tradition at Rechters on Saturdays is to have Turkish for dinner. I had a "burger" which is a yummy roll with chicken, barbecue sauce, onions, lettuce and tomato.

Other food highlights included salt and vinegar chips, balsamic vinegar and salt chips, and a milo with a yoyo (shortbread sandwich with cream in the center...which was absolutely amazing).

Today's activities included going to the market for the food I am going to use to make Sunday tea - I am making Mexican and chocolate chip cookies, cuddling baby Jacob, reading, playing iPhone games when I woke up- wasn't ready to get all the way up, having a lie down (nap), and watching the new Bourne film. I also did a touch of site-seeing around town- more old mission haunts.

Editorial note: going to the market in Australia is very different than home. They look rather like run down, dumpy factory shops, but their produce is so fantastic- more color and flavor than at home and no preservatives or other junk in them.

Sounds like you guys are eating very well. Have you had any fish and chips yet? Did you stop and watch any of the cricket match? Did they invite you to play? Are you playing any golf while you are there in the warm weather? We are have snow and wind right now. Have a fun day/evening!

Yes- we got fish and chips on Monday and they were fantastic. I watched a bit of the cricket- they begged me to play, but I didn't want to embarrass them- being a girl and all...haven't played any golf- but saw a nice golf course when we were in Melbourne the other day...it is very near where my old mission home used to be- which was sold several years ago and torn down. A bunch of houses were built in its place, so other than recognizing the street name, Old Burke Road (in North Balwyn), I didn't recognize the place.

I tried to comment on this post yesterday while I was in geography class, but for some reason i couldn't get it to work.
That shake sounds like it was amazing. Pics look great and sounds like a lot of fun. Love you

Whenever we passed by a cricket match I thought to myself, "what an opportunity, already dressed in white and everything."
