33 - I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day

I am one of those people who LOVES Thanksgiving and feels that, while Christmas is the best time of the year, we should relish every moment of Thanksgiving before rushing on.

I don't believe in having Christmas stuff in stores before Halloween (which they always do - they get earlier every year); I don't put my tree up until AFTER Thanksgiving; and, most importantly I do not play my Christmas music until Thanksgiving has been good and celebrated.

When my Christmas music does come out I listen to nothing else the whole month of December. I have Christmas playlists on my iPods and a lovely little collection of Christmas CDs I play at home and in my car. And, aside from, Hello, There Mr. Kringle, and Boyz II Men, my Christmas music is truly wonderful.

There are three albums that must be played first every year. They are:

Celine Dion's These Are Special Times:
Kenny G's Miracles: The Holiday Album:
...and, Jon Schmidt's Jon Schmidt Christmas:

There are many, many more that I enjoy, but these are the ones I can't be without. I love the spirit of Christmas that accompanies these songs. It doesn't get much better than O Holy Night. Simply glorious.

#33 on my list of Favorite Things is CHRISTMAS MUSIC
