Have you seen the film, The Mission, with Robert DeNiro and Jeremy Irons? It is the story of 18th century Spanish Jesuits trying to protect a remote South American Indian tribe in danger of falling under the rule of pro-slavery Portugal. But it is about so much more.
One of the themes in the film is the power of music, and the score, written by Ennio Morricone, to accompany this message is stunning. I love this music. Give yourself a gift and go listen to it sometime - specifically, Gabriel's Oboe. So beautiful.
#52 on my list of Favorite Things is the SOUNDTRACK from The Mission.

I gotta see this movie. Thanks for sharing the score with me.
The movie was riveting..... so intense. Such a different role for Robert de Niro but he did it well. Thanks for the reminder about the music.... I will explore and invest!
