When we took family vacations to Hebgen, there were some traditions that accompanied each trip:
-Visiting Western Nut Company to get spanish peanuts for the chipmunks and squirrels
-Stopping in Ashton to get worms for fishing
-Going on wood safaris
-Eating cheese curd, snickerdoodles, and home-made ice cream
-Silent movies
-Games, fishing, skiing, sun-bathing (I had the sweetest tan back in those days)
-Big amazing breakfasts every morning
-Cabin music, and...
-Taking turns washing the dishes.
Everything was better at Hebgen - even washing dishes. We worked in teams and it was fun washing those thick plates (I think there were orange and brown circles around the edges) and pretty clear glasses. This was the one time in my life I didn't mind doing the dishes.
I mind it now, but my sister-in-law introduced me to something that makes it a bit more enjoyable: LemiShine.
This is the best detergent EVER. It smells nice and my plates and glasses and silverware come out looking better than they ever did before I saw the light that is LemiShine.
It is sometimes hard to find, and slightly pricey, but when I do find it, I stockpile it to ensure continued dishwashing happens at my house.

I've never heard of this stuff but once we start seeing a paycheck this is going on my "to buy" list. I'm a sucker for sparkling silverware. Happy 22th day!
chocolate waffles
Kam - yep, it is THE BEST.
Kurt - nice to have you back commenting. :) I need all the chocolate ideas I can get.
